What is a Lash Lift?
An eyelash lift or lash lift (occasionally called a lash perm) curls your lashes for up to eight weeks (your average lash shedding cycle). At Glow Up our elite stylists will assess your eye shape and other facial features, and then choose the appropriately sized and shaped silicone lifting rod to create a curl for your natural lashes. We then use specialist adhesive to to shape your lashes to the rod and set the curl. As the name “lash perm” suggests, it is similar to a perm for your lashes. You can be in an out of the salon in about an hour and that’s even if you include a tint as well which is very common. When a tint is included we call it a Lift and Tint.
What is an Eyelash Lift and Tint?
A lift and tint is a when a tint is applied after a lash lift. The addition of the extra color elevates your lashes even more and lasts up to four weeks! During the lash lift consultation, our stylists will help you choose the best color for your lashes based on your natural hair color and your skin tone. We also use Beautiful Brows & Lashes Lash Tint so we know that it is 100% safe and compatible with their Lash & Brow Bomb 3-Step System. What is our Lash Lift process?
Preparation
Comb through your lashes using a disposable mascara wand.
Place a collagen pad under each eye to ensure your bottom lashes are secured under them.
Based on your eye shape and size we select the appropriate shield and use bonder to hold the shield in place.
We then apply more of the bonder to shield and lift the lashes from the root using a lash tool and we attach them to the shield. We move along the shield until all the lashes are bonded to the shields.
Step 1 - Lift
We apply a small amount of the Step 1 Lash Lifting Cream, from root to 1/3 up the lash for a lift and a maximum halfway up the lash for a lift with a slight curl. The Step 1 Lash Lifting Cream is enriched with Cocoa Butter, Biotin, Hydrolized Silk and Vitamin B3 to ensure you get the perfect lift every time whist leaving your hairs nourished and hydrated.
Processing Times: Very fine to fine: 4-5 mins. Tinted or Natural healthy: 5-6 mins. Natural healthy lashes: 6-8 mins.
Step 2 - Neutralize
We apply a small amount of the Step 2 Neutralizing Lotion to where the lash lifting cream was applied using a micro-applicator. The Step 2 Neutralizing Lotion is enriched with Cocoa Butter, Hyaluronic Acid, Panthenol and Horsetail Extracts to nourish and hydrate the hairs and neutralize the lifting solution.
Processing Times: Very fine, fine and tinted lashes: 5 mins. Natural healthy and course healthy lashes: 6 mins.
Step 3 - Moisturize
We apply a small amount of the Step 3 Moisturizing Serum over the lashes using a micro-applicator, gently releasing the lashes from the shield. We then apply moisturizing serum to the eyelid under the lash shield, gently releasing the shield from the eye and remove excess serum with a cotton-bud. Final steps are to remove the eye patches and comb the lashes up with a mascara wand.
The Step 3 Moisturizing Serum is enriched with Panthenol, Hyaluronic Acid, Marshmallow Extract, Aloe Vera, Hydrolized Silk, Rosemary, Camomile, Anica Montana and Apricot Extracts and is a vital step to ensure your clients hairs remain healthy and hydrated.
Step 4 - Tint (Optional)
To add a little more pop to your lashes we can add a tint. It delivers long-lasting, dramatic results with lashes appearing longer and more voluminous for up to 6 weeks.

You are unable to get your lashes wet for 24 hours to allow the lifting products to cure correctly.
